Assembling Your Equipment.

You’ll only need a mixing bowl, whisk, spatula, and a baking sheet. For precision, a food scale comes in handy. No complicated gadgets here!

How to make Dominique Ansel Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe:

Step #1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a light-colored baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step #2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until well incorporated. Add the eggs and continue whisking until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

Step #3: Add the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt to the bowl. Gently mix everything together with a spatula until just combined. Now, it’s time to fold in those irresistible chocolate chunks, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough. Pop the dough in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes to chill.

Step #4: Once the dough has chilled, shape it into balls, each about 2 1/2″ in diameter. Place these dough balls on the baking sheet and slightly flatten them into discs.

Step #5: Bake the cookies for 9-10 minutes, or until the edges turn a light golden color while the centers remain soft and gooey. After baking, let the cookies cool for 5-10 minutes before indulging in their delightful goodness.

Notes

Would I make any changes to this recipe? If I were to change them up slightly, I would add 2 more Tablespoons of brown sugar and more chocolate chunks. For extra depth of flavor, I would brown the butter and would chill the dough for 24-48 hours.

I suggest using high-quality chocolate bars such as Lindt chocolate bars or Trader Joe's Pound Plus Bars.
